GSL 6 May Code A Ro16 Day 1 Results

Oh no the emperor SlayersBoxer lost is match. A sad day for all Boxer's fan. He will still stay in code A for next season. Slayers MMA and Ryung both managed to make their way through to the round of 8. ST_Bomber often considered to be one of the best Terrans in Starcraft 2 by most Korean Pro gamers took down his opponent with ease.

GSL 6 May Code S RO 32 Day 4 Results

GREATEST COMEBACK EVERY BY OGSINCA. I seriously have have to type this. The match between oGsInca and Rain will be voted as the best comeback every in Starcraft 2 history. I will not touch on the mistakes made by the player. But basically the game goes 2 bases for both players. Inca opts for a forge gateway Chargelots with HT and DTs while Rain goes for a Marines Tanks army. Rain managed to Siege and Bunkered up right outside Inca's natural. Inca is forced to finally engaged with his Speedlots, HT and Sentries army and managed to finally clear Terran's army. However, a second wave from Rain will definitely end the game as Inca does not have any army left.

Inca's last dish effort of warping in DT's into the Terrans base with one of the DT killing around 25 SCVs. Inca lost both of his main and natural and force to start hiding Nexus. One of Inca's Stalker managed to kill a Orbital Command by himself. Wow. At this point, Rain is so much ahead and will definitely wins the game. Inca has a 0% chance of getting back. All players would have given up hope by now but Inca still goes on. The critical moment is where Rain decides to throw down to 2 Extra Supplies on two Supply depots that are right in front of Inca's one DT and Stalker in order to get out a Raven. The funny thing is, Rain loses both of the Depot without starting his Raven. Inca finally manged to crawl his way back into the game and eventually wins the game. Thus, The Best Comeback Ever.

LiquidHuk and TSL_Trickster / Tester/ Sakisoo go down to the Up and Down matches.

New Proxy 2 Gate location PvP Xel'Naga Caverns

First of all, I wish to point out that this proxy 2 Gate location will most likely work at high Masters and above or Grandmasters. This proxy location will be very suitable for high tournament plays as well as professional gamers. We will be using the same build for a normal proxy 2 Gateways in PvP; 10 Pylon, 10 Gate and 10 Gate etc.

You may be asking what is so special about this proxy gate build and why is it different from the normal proxy Gate. First of all I wish to point out to you the high level or professional matches for PvP. As we all know PvP is probably the most delicate matchup where any player has a chance of winning it. A micro mistake can often times cause you the game. Every extra minerals will definitely be an advantage. Thus, high level players will often times scout with the 12 Gateway Probe trying to mine as much minerals as possible and not falling behind in resources.

GSL 6 May Code A RO 32 Day 4 Results

Long time GSL Code S player, choyafOu has been knocked out from Code A. This means that he will have to go through the preliminaries SC2 LAN qualification once more where he would have to win 5 straight matches to get back into code A. This is the worse case scenario for every GSL competitors being knocked out of Code A. Choya often known for his cheesy strategy style has been knocked out of Code S last season. Choya is known to talk to himself during matches to calm himself down. This season, Choya's poor performance continue to take its toll. Will we see Choya again in the future or will he be forgotten in Starcraft 2. For your info, the preliminaries is really tough where skill and luck plays an important factor. Winning 5 straight matches is no easy task as most of the competitors are top tiered players who are not in Code S or Code A. ST_Squirtle drops out of Code A as well. Kinda sad for the IEM semifinalist.

TSL 3 RO 8 Quarterfinals Day 2 Casts & Results

Day 2 RO 8 of TSL 3, the largest Starcraft 2 online game tournament hosted by PokerStrategy. Today we have Dignitas.Naniwa against col.Cruncher and Slayers_Boxer, the emperor himself up against mouz.HasuObs. The PvP series between Naniwa and Cruncher is definitely the more exciting PvP matches I have seen. Very interesting builds and strategies being used by both players.

oGsMC wins Copenhagen Games Starcraft 2

oGsMC wins another Starcraft 2 tournament. This time around, MC wins Copenhagen Games a LAN tournament in Denmark.

Copenhagen Games is the biggest gaming event in the heart of Copenhagen.
It will host games as StarCraft 2, Heroes of Newerth, Counter-Strike 1.6 and many more.

The event offers two choices for the StarCraft 2 audience.
It's possible to participate in both tournaments if you meet the prerequisites.

oGsMC showed impressive games throughout the tournament without dropping a game until the semifinals where MC lost his first game of the day to Mouz_Morrow. However, the Kratoss Protoss managed to take down the series 3-1 and getting himself a spot in another Starcraft 2 final stage. Facing him in the finals is no other than Empire.Kas. Kas has been performing extremely well currently. Kas has won his TSL 3 quarterfinals RO8 match, where he took down Adelscott with a 3-1 record. oGsMC on the other hand lost in his TSL 3 RO8 match against Prae.Thorzain 3-2. MC and Thorzain's match series is deemed the best throughout the tournament so far and a must watch. A very impressive game by both players. Thorzain, a little known Terran managed to take down oGsMC the best Starcraft 2 player in the world.

Kas took down Grubby, yes, the legendary Warcraft 3 player, with a convincing 3-0 record in the semifinals. Kas's macro game is flawless and seems unbeatable. It seems that Kas always has higher worker count, more armies and better upgrade than his opponents. Empire.Kas will definitely be one of the top Terrans around the world in the future.

Congratulations to oGsMC for winning another Starcraft 2 championship. We will be looking forward for more MC world domination in the future.

TSL 3 RO 8 Quarterfinals Day 1 Casts & Results

The semifinals for TSL 3 largest Starcraft 2 online game Starcraft 2 tournament between the very best players around the world fighting for the championship crown of TSL 3. The foreign scene players from the US and Europe server proves that they are not behind and worse players than the Koreans. Only two Koreans managed to qualify into TSL 3 quarterfinals. The Koreans are no other than oGsMC, the Kratoss Protoss, Boss Toss currently the best Starcraft 2 player around the world and the legendary Slayers_Boxer the emperor.

Day 1 of the Semifinals consists of two matches between 4 very talented Starcraft 2 players. Empire.Kas will be playing Mill.Adelscott and oGsMC against Prae.Thorzain. The series between oGsMC and Thorzain is a MUST WATCH. It all went down to a deciding game 5. I would vote this match the best games in the whole tournament. I wouldn't want to spoil the games for you guys. Results is posted after the video casts.

GSL 6 May Code S RO32 Day 3 Results

Today proves to be a good day for clan TSL (The SCV Life) having all three of it's players; TSL_FruitDealer, TSL_Killer and TSL_Clide making into the next round RO 16 of GSL.Sadly, foreigner scene representative LiquidJinro, two times GSL semi finalist goes down to the UP and Down matches. Jinro was defeated by IM_Nestea 2-0. Long time GSL Code S competitor CheckPrime.we, a previous Warcraft 3 pro gamer is being knocked down into the UP and Down matches as well.

Blizzard is fixing PvP next patch!!

Blizzard is considering fixing the Starcraft 2 Protoss vs Protoss matchup in the next upcoming patch. Currently, most PvP matches in high level and even in low leagues involves around the usage of 4 Gating. This is the most used strategy in the PvP matchup and often regarded as one of the best in this matchup. Why is 4 gating so strong in PvP? This is due to Protoss mechanics, of warping in units within a Pylon. This greatly changes the Protoss race compared to Starcraft 1. With warpGate technology, Protoss players will be able to warp units anywhere around the map with just a Pylon built.

Using a 3 Gate to defend a 4 Gate is near impossible but it could be done. A Gate Robo Gate opening is most likely a free win or walk over for the 4 gating player. Thus, often times, Protoss players are forced to pigeonholed into 4 Gate build.Currently, people got so good in defending a 4 gate push. 4 Gate is still being used by not as much compared to previously.

Another aspect why Blizzard is thinking of televised games of PvP matches is just kind of sad. Take for example the GSL where a majority of the PvPs involves 4 Gates and last less than 10 minutes. This is probably bad publicity for the game and is deemed unfun by the general.

GSL 6 May Code S RO32 Day 2 Results

Another top Starcraft 2 player, MarineKingPrime. We, two times GSL finalist has been knocked down into the Up and Down matches. MarineKing will join oGsMC, two times GSL champion in the Up and Down matches and praying hard they will be able to hold on to their Code S status. It seems that more and more shocking news are currently happening in GSL 6 May so far. We have both two top Code S players knocked down so early in the Round of 32 matches. It seems that MarineKing.Prime.We is always the bridesmaid and never the bride. This time around, he has lost his bridesmaid job. However, both oGsMC and MarineKing.Prime.we will have two chances there.

Slayers_Alicia showed us why he is the best Protoss vs Terran (PvT) player in the world. Taking down both oGsNada and MarineKingPrime.we with impressive games shows us that he is really comfortable in this matchup. Alicia seems to prefer a heavy Gateway units and always skip the Robotic's Facility till the mid and late game stages. Probably a Cloaked Banshee will be all what the Terran needs to take down this upcoming player from Slayers Clan.

MVPGenius the champion from Blizzcon seems to be getting back his games. A player with attitude (even the name itself implies on this) Genius is actually a very good player. However, he failed to perform during the previous GSLs. Today, MVPGenius showed us very good games with this impressive micro and in game decisions. A very good contender for the Semi-Finalist spot if Genius continues to show us his real skills.

Boxer's Wings Ep 1 and 2: Return of the Emperor

SlayersBoxer (Lim Yo Hwan) will always be the most famous pro gamer in the entire history of E Sports. No other pro gamers are even close to the recognition and status that The Emperor has achieved during his professional gaming career. This man or should I say legend is what made E Sports possible. His contribution to the whole E Sports gaming is uncountable. Boxer, basically made Starcraft Brood War so famous that only through him, we have Global Starcraft League (GSL) the greatest entertainment channel possible today.

Deemed the best Starcraft player of all time, Slayers_Boxer has finally decided to take his hands at Starcraft 2 (This was months ago) after a long career in the Professional in Brood War. Starting a new game is basically no easy task for every game. He will require to relearn the from the new perspective and every angle of the game itself.

GSL 6 May Code A RO32 Day 2 Results

SlayersBoxer managed to cling into his Code A GSL status after defeating newcomer MPV_Avenge, a new face in GSL 6 May in a close series. The 'Emperor' narrowly lost game 3, final game of the series after a push by Avenge. Boxer finally manage to take down the Protoss player with 2 well time EMP on all the Protoss army taking out the whole Protoss Ball's shield and eliminating any Force Field play. The game went back a forth a couple of times and was really close. The fans sighed in relief after MPV_Avenge finally types the 'GG' sending SlayersBoxer into the next round of 16 Code A Starcraft 2 GSL.

LeenockfOu the long time Zerg face in the GSL is finally knocked out from Code A. This means that, he will have to fight his way through the preliminaries qualification matches once more where players basically have to get 5 straight match wins in a best of 3 against the very best players around the world who are not currently in GSL Code S or A.

GSL 6 May Code S RO32 Day 1 Results

oGsMC drops down to the Up and Down matches after losing two straight games to PoltPrime.We. This actually a huge surprise where MC did two greedy opening builds against PoltPrime. During their first match, oGsMC goes for a 15 Nexus on Zel'Naga Caverns, a new Starcraft 2 3 players GSL map. Polt proceeded to push and kill MC with Bio armies. During their second match, oGsMC once again goes for another risky build, a Nexus with only 1 Gateway with 1 Gas on Xel'Naga Caverns. Instead of putting down two more Gateways like a normal standard PvT, the Kratoss Protoss instead chose to get a Robotic Facility first and finally followed by two more Gateways. PoltPrime did a very very smart move of showing MC only his Marines during his march to MC's expansion. MC was caught off guard when 2 Marauders showed up to take down the Stalkers easily.

PoltPrime. We seems to have improved so much and showed us a wonderful and near perfect play today and taking down the GSL champion for two seasons. It seems that oGsMC is repeating what IM_MVP's bad run previously where MVP feel down to Code A. MC's fate will be determined in the Up and Down matches where he will have two chances to cling to his GSL code S status.

SC2 Unit Upgrades- Damage and Armour Upgrades

Starcraft 2 online game. This article will be looking at unit upgrades for each races in Starcraft 2; Protoss , Terran and Zerg. I will not be going into the number crunching for each upgrade because until now I still do can't remember how much each Zealot or even Stalker does. I guess most of you doesn't either. This may be an added advantage if your into the number crunching game but what we actually need is when upgrade to get against each specific races.

Do take note, what I mean by units upgrades are damange, armor and shield upgrades and not unit skill upgrades such as Stim, Blink, Burrow, Hydralisk Range, Siege Mode and others. I will be focusing in only damange and armor upgrades.

When I started playing Starcraft 1 many many years ago, I do not realise the importance of upgrade in the online game matches at all. First of all, the long upgrade duration time required. It seems eternity to get an upgrade done during the first Starcraft series. Secondly, the heavy mineral and gas investment needed. With limited knowledge when we first started our first online game, we will not be considering much regarding the effects of upgrades in our game.

Why are upgrades so important in our games. This will probably outline a good picture to you on why are upgrades necessary and required. Lets take the Stalker unit from Protoss race as an example. Stalkers starts with a 1 armor base. This means that every incoming damaged received by the Stalker is reduced by 1. Marines have a base damage of 6. When a Stalker battles a Marine, the Stalker will be receiving 5 damage from the Marine instead of 6 due to armor.

LiquidTLO's Terran vs Zerg Strategy: 7 Barracks Marines All In

LiquidTLO, previous Korean Starcraft 2 GSL competitor has always been highly regarded for his innovative and new unseen strategies. TLO first played as the Terran race during the early release of Starcraft 2 and in the GSL. Since then, LiquidTLO has switched to Zerg to explore the swarm tactics and strategies. TLO moves on to take his hands playing as a Protoss player. After mastering each races and having an in depth view from the perspective of each races, TLO proceeds to play as a Random Race player. It seems that TLO has finally switched back to the Terran race currently and for his matches at recent Dreamhack Invitational.

What is so fearful from this player is his unique style of playing. LiquidTLO has no fear in pulling out cheeses or unseen new strategies that often catch his unprepared opponent off guard. Playing as a random player previously definitely give TLO an edge in understanding each races.

During LiquidTLO's match against EG_Idra the Gracken, TLO pulled off a fantastic new strategy. Staying on no Gas during early in the game, TLO puts down not 1 or 2 additional Barracks but 6 more Barracks making a total of 7 Barracks during his Game 1 against the Zerg player on Xel' Naga Caverns. Fans and crowds around the world were surprised by TLO's weird and funky new build. During the game, TLOs build was totally hidden from EG_Idra until he was ready to move out with a massive amount of Marines towards Idra's natural expansion. This definitely alerts Gracken Idra of a heavy Marines and Barracks play. Idra proceeded to massed up a large number of Zerglings and finally took down TLO's first incoming wave calmly.

It seems that TLO is quite behind after losing the first engagement. However, this is not the case, as LiquidTLO is bringing out the second Marine forces which is even larger than the first one. Idra's Baneling Nest has completed, and Banelings are on the making. However, without Baneling Speed upgrade, TLO's massive marine push proves to be too much for Idra to handle and Idra GG and taps out.

Zerg vs Protoss Strategy Hit and Run

One of the major complains from Zergs players around the world currently in Starcraft 2 is their inability to deal with the late game Protoss army. Zerg players are having a hard time facing the late game Protoss Deathball army. The fearsome 200 food Protoss deathball can easily rip apart the Zerg swarm with ease with good ForceField placements while the deadly Colossi dealing massive damage. This complain of imbalance for the late game Zerg vs Protoss has been outline by a lot of Zerg Professional Gamers. EG_Idra will be the first one that comes to mind for his stance on this imbalance issue. Often times, we will see Idra complaining on Protoss Imbaness in his Starcraft 2 online games. Other times, we will see him leaving the game without a GG.

As a Protoss player myself, I have the admit the strength of the deadly Protoss Deathball army. Zerg players often have to stay a base up against either Protoss and Terran players to have a decent chance in evening up the play field. If a Protoss player is left unchecked mining on 3 bases while massing a 200 max food army, the Zerg player is in a lot of trouble if he is not mining from 4 to 5 bases.

oGsMC wins Dreamhack Invitational

oGsMC the best Starcraft 2 player wins Dreamhack Invitational in Sweden. This is the first time oGsMC traveled outside of Korea for Starcraft 2 competition as most of his international tournaments were played through Starcraft 2 online game battle.net before this. Dreamhack Invitational is hosted at Sweden the homegrown for LiquidTLO, Sjow and Mouz_Morrow. It is their pride to defend at their homeground.

Dreamhack Invitational is an invited tournament for 8 best players around the world for each races hosted in Sweden. The invitees lists includes, LiquidHuk, LiquidJinro, LiquidTLO, EGIdra, Mouz_Morrow, Sjow, oGsMC and Whitera /DuckloadRa. oGsMC was the only Korean professional Starcraft 2 player invited to this tournament. Slayers_Boxer was one of the invited player for Dreamhack Invitational. Due to Boxer's sudden health sickness, his spot was finally given to another Terran player, Sjow who was a previous tournament champion.

PvP 3 Stalker Opening Build

If you played enough 1v1 Starcraft 2 online game ladder, you should realise that 4 Gate is the most common strategy for the Protoss vs Protoss matchup. It doesn't matter your in GrandMasters League, Diamond or Bronze, you will definitely be performing or defending against 4 gate strategies. Since the introduction of Tel' Darim Altar in the 1v1 online game map pool, 4 Gate is the only strategy available on this map. Probably close to 99% of players will utilise 4 gate on this map and on Scrap Station. This is due to the wide ramp, as it requires 2 Forcefields to fully cut off their armies.

There is no denying PvP is probably the hardest matchup for a Protoss player, as the match itself is very fragile. Often times, a simple micro mistake can cost you the game. A random build may win or lose you the match. For example, a Dark Templar build will fully triumph a Stargate build if left unscouted, a Robo build will counter a DT build, while a Stargate build will probably beat a Robo build. PvP is often considered rock, scissor and paper. The better player will not always win this matchup. Even most professional Protoss players do not like the current PvP matchup. PvP can often times turn into a mind games matchup where faking a specific build or fake 4 Gating works very well as Protoss lacks the scouting ability once Stalkers are out.

However, a new built that utilise a fast 3 Chrono Boosted Stalker is being used more and more often by high level players. This specific build is use to stall down 4 Gate's Proxy Pylon as far as possible from your base thus, giving you time to tech up. 3 Fast Stalkers with proper micro will repel 4 Gate's aggressive 1 Zealot and 2 Stalker before Warp Gate is done. More commonly will be 1 Zealot, 1 Stalker and a Probe by them as the second Stalker will be build after putting down 3 more Gateways.

My GrandMasters League

Just qualified for my SC2 online game GrandMasters League. @@
Cheers.

SC2 Grandmasters League is now Live and Patch 1.3.2

Starcraft 2 online game Grandmasters League is finally here. The Grandmasters League is allocated for top 200 players for each Battle.net online game server. Even if you are qualified for this league, you still need to win a game to be placed in it. The top 200 players are determined by MMR (Match Making Rating) and is different from the rating points that are shown on your accounts. Try to play a game to see if you are qualified for the Grandmasters League.

For those of you who are still wondering how to qualify for Grandmasters League, these info will probably answer most of your questions.

How to Cannon Rush in PvP on Xel'Naga Caverns Guide

To tell you the truth, Cannon rush still works very well in Starcraft 2 online game Protoss vs Protoss matchup even in Masters League. Often considered a cheesy strategy, and very often you will not get a GG from your opponent if you managed to Cannon rush him in the online game Battle.net ladder. However, pulling off some cheeses once in a while is a very good way to train yourself up. Having pull a lot of Cannon rushes myself gives me a very good insight on how to pull it off as well as defending Cannon rushes. Too often I have seen Starcraft 2 players failed to react properly to specific cheeses.

GSL Season 6 May Code A Group Brackets

Starcraft 2 GSL Season 6 May Code A group Brackets. Slayers_Boxer and IMMvP, two previous Code S players will have to battle their way through Code A for GSL 6 in order to climb their way back into Code S for the next season. Slayers MMA has been performing very well in the recent GSTL Global Starcraft Team League and has won many matches for Boxer's team Slayers. ST.Ace the champion of IEM and ST.Squirtle the semifinalist of IEM has shown us very impressive games and improvements.

ST_Bomber is deem the be the very best Terran player in Korea by most professional Gamers and feared by everyone. Bomber from clan Startale has been performing very well on the Korean Starcraft 2 online game ladder. This will be his debut in GSL to prove his worthiness. We have to see how good Bomber truly is.

GSL Season 6 May Code S Group Brackets

Starcraft 2 is the most famous online game today.

Finally the long awaited GSL season 6 will be starting soon. Some players from previous season managed to secure their GSL Starcraft 2 code S status will others fell into Code A for GSL season 6 May. Most notably IM_MvP for his poor performance in season 5. Being the champion for Starcraft 2 GSL season 4, MVP did terribly during season 5. First MVP lost his Code S status during his Code S round of 32. This was nothing surprising as two other players withing his group were the eventual GSL 5 finalists; oGsMC and ST_July.

During the Up and Down matches, MVP once again performed poorly and thus losing and being knocked down to GSL 6 Code A. Talk about from hero to zero. However, in the GSL World Championship currently, MVP's is back in form to reach the finals and will be facing MarineKingPrime.We. New and upcoming players such as LiquidHuk, FOxLyn will have to prove their worthiness for Code S. IM_Losira has been performing exceptionally well by tearing through GSL 5 Code A.

GSL World Championship 2011 RO 4 RESULTS

MarineKingPrime. We did a impressive comeback after going down two games to oGsMC. oGsMC who is the favourite to win this match. The showdown between two GSL champions IM_MVP and oGsMC is what everyone is expecting. However, MarineKingPrime. We the two time GSL finalist managed to perform surprisingly well against oGsMC during game 3 onwards. MarineKing is using some impressive new builds and old forgotten builds such as lifting his Command Centre to the gold expansion on Metalopolis and going fast Thor build in game 2.

Marines Splitting Micro Against Banelings Training "MARINE SPLIT CHALLENGE" Map

Starcraft 2 online games tips. Micro splitting Marines against Banelings is a must know for every Terran players in Starcraft 2 online games. This is probably the most essential trick that you have to learn in your Terran vs Zerg matchup. Banelings with speed is a very common unit that the Zerg players utilize to counter your mass Marines strategy. Every Terran should had their Marines army getting evaporated by Banelings in an instant before.

Picking Your First Vespene Geyser / Gas Tips

Starcraft 2 online game tips. You should give thoughts into which Vespene Geyser to be taken first on some maps. On maps like Metalopolis, taking either one of the Vespene Geyser first will produce different results. This is due to the travel distance between the Geyser/Gas to your main base. It doesn't matter if you are a Zerg, Protoss or Terran.

MLG Dallas Replays
