MLG Dallas one of the most prestigious Starcraft 2 tournament has come and gone. Two top protosses, Root.Kiwikaki the very innovative player are match against dignitas.Naniwa (MeatyOwlLegs) the very first player to reach 4000 points in Starcraft 2 online game ladder in the world. In the end dignitasNaniwa managed to claim the title being the champion of MLG Dallas taking down Kiwikaki with a record of 4-2.
dignitas.Select has been performing very well throughout the whole tournament. However, he was taken down by Naniwa in the winners bracket round 2 and then by Kiwikaki in the losers bracket, thus knocking him out from the tournament.
MLG Dallas was a very epic tournament will high ranked top players from the European and American scene. Players such as EG.Idra, LiquidHuk, LiquidTLO and other top players failed to claim their titles. LiquidHuk was taken down by Idra with a 2-1 record on the second day of MLG Dallas. Their rematch came the next day again when LiquidHuk managed to defeat his teammate LiquidRet. However, LiquidHuk failed to advance when faced with the Gracken Idra.
The downside of the tournament will definitely be their poor live streaming and their huge delays. This is nothing new as MLG has always been infamous for their technical errors. According to the officials from MLG, the huge incoming visitors to their stream has caused these errors. The number of visitors were twice the amount of what they have predicted. Lets just hope they fix this problem and not to repeat the same mistake again next time.
