Cheese your way into Grandmasters with Terran 3 Barracks Marines

A SC2 Terran player with the nickname of Geiko from Team Liquid has created an infamous Terran 3 Barracks mass Marines with SCV all in strategy and claiming that every amateur Terran can get into the Grandmasters league with this specific strategy. His 3 Barracks all in is definitely very strong and even works against the top SC2 players around the world. Btw for your information, Grandmasters league is currently locked so players are not able to get into the league. However, you can still have Grandmasters MMR (Match Making Rating), which in other words, you are basically having the points of Grandmasters but in Masters League.

Geiko, has proved that his 3 Barracks all in strategy works magnificently during his Battlenet online game. With an impressive record of 127-89 previously (when he first revealed the strategy), his build works against all races whether against a Terran, Protoss and Zerg opponents. Top professional SC2 players such as Mondragon, Tod, mTwRine and lots more has fallen victim to his aggressive all in build.

Lets take a look at Geiko's 3 Barracks all in Build
  • 10 Supply Depot below the ramp (Rally your 9th worker to below the ramp)
  • 11 Barracks (To complete the wall below ramp)
  • 12 Barracks on top of ramp
  • 12 Barracks on top of ramp
  • With the SCV building the 2nd Barracks scout with it if on a 4 player map. You do not have to scout on 2 players map
  • 12 Marine
  • 13 Marine
  • 14 Marine
  • 15 Orbital Command
  • Build only Marines from this point onwards
  • Use 'Call down supplies' on the Depot when finish
  • Clear out the watch towers with 2-3 Marines
  • Bring all your SCV's and Marines around 4:30
This specific 3 Barracks Marines all in with SCV's is so famous now on the SC2 North American online game server. The build is very very hard to stop and requires impressive micro. If your a Terran player wishing to use this way to Cheese your way into the Grandmasters League (Masters League) make sure you train and practice your Marine Stutter Step Micro. You do need a very good Stutter Step micro to make full use of the Marines and dealing the most damage to your opponents.

Do take note, this build is easily scouted due to placing the first Barracks and Supply Depot below the ramp. A normal Terran build will not place the Barracks below the ramp unless he is doing an all in strategy like this. Thus, this will reveal to your opponent about your all in strategy. However, even if your opponent knows this is coming, it is still quite difficult to hold the push most of the times.

A protoss players will have a Zealot and Stalker with probably a Sentry/ 2nd Stalker on the way. Even if he has 1-2 Sentries, you can wait for the Force Fields to go off and rush up the ramp.

Against Zerg players, if your build is scouted by his Overlord, attack earlier and try to Bunker rush the Zerg.

This build is weakest against Terran players. If your opponent scouted your build, a few Bunkers can end your push easily.

This build is extremely hard to hold if your opponent has never seen this build and thus, failed to prepare against the early onslaught. Pulling off this 3 Barracks Marines with SCV's sc2 strategy is very easy. Just make sure your SCV's are tanking the damage while, your Marines deal the insane DPS. Stutter Step them for more efficiency.

Good luck in cheesing your way into Grandmasters. Do expect to see some BM (Bad Manner) from your opponents if you manage to cheese him. BM is very common when you cheese the hell out of them in your online games.
