TSL_Puma Wins NASL Season 1

TSL_Puma wins North American Star League (NASL) Season 1 after taking down the heavyweight, Kratoss Protoss, President Toss and now ObamaToss, oGsMC in a very epic final series. The lesser known Terran, performed extremely well throughout the whole tournament, taking down the best players from SC2. First decimating Team Liquids very own Ret fashionably, next rolling over ST_Squirtle, burning through the forces of the legendary JulyZerg, The God of War and Golden Mouse winner of Brood War and finally facing none other than oGsMC in the grand Finals. Puma pockets an incredibly fat paycheck of $50,000 for his impressive performance.

TSL_Puma from The SCV Life, was formerly a Brood War player from eSTRO team in Korea. Although not incredibly impressive during his Brood war carrier, surprisingly, Puma is one of the most requested practice player. Puma is a lesser known player in GSL. Failing to qualify for code A in GSL, Puma's only appearance in the Starcraft 2 scene is from his plays in the GSTL (Global Starcraft Team League). His play style is still unknown and hidden from most players. However, this player is practicing incredibly hard in Starcraft 2 like every other Korean professional gamers. Finally, Puma is able to make a name for himself in Starcraft 2 by taking down NASL and oGsMC. This will eventually skyrocket Puma's recognition in Starcraft 2.

Puma's superior run through the NASL Open qualifiers which eventually taking the whole open qualifiers facing against the best players to made it into the NASL top 16 is no easy task. The open qualifiers were mostly dominated by Koreans as well.

For your knowledge, Puma is oGsMC's childhood friend. These two players are incredibly close and respects each other highly.

Puma's Medivac drops is one of the scariest I have seen. Being fearless with his drops, Puma is seem decimating a lot of players with his impressive unique play style. This is by no means other Terran's are not doing drops, but Puma brings it to another level. His multi pronged drops often times deals significant damage to the resources of his opponents. Puma always forces his opponents to deal with 3 way attacks at once. Another distinctive Puma's playstyle against Protoss players is where he gets Ghosts very very early in the game. This playstyle has helped him performed very well together with his medivac drop haresses. Ghost are the ultimate unit against Protoss who mass Sentries very early in the game.

In his match against ST_July, Puma's MASS hellions, which are more than the normal amount a Terran will get against Zerg players, wrecked July's economy significantly. You would not want to have your mineral lines roasted by Hellions in seconds. This is the frustration July faced against Puma.

The final series between Puma and MC is one of the best throughout the entire NASL Season 1 finals. Going into the very final game 7 in a best of 7 matchup, both players seem to be extremely exhausted from their previous long and drawn out game.

Finally, NASL is seen to be another Korean dominating tournament. The top 4 players consists of 3 Koreans and a Taiwanese. Even the top 8 players consists of 6 Koreans. This is no surprise as Koreans has been currently dominating the international Starcraft2 tournaments for a while now. Foreigners has not been performing well even in their own home ground facing against the fearsome Korean gamers. I am really looking forward to the day, when the foreigners reclaim their pride to claim a victory at their homelands.

NASL Season 1 Standings
1. TSL_Puma
2. oGsMC
3. Sen
4. ST_July

MC's superior run in the NASL tournament was equally impressive. Having played throughout the whole season 1 of NASL for a duration of 10 weeks, MC first started with a 0-3 record in his group stages. However, MC managed to win nearly all of his following matches and eventually claiming a spot in the NASL final 16.

MC's first opponent was none other than the Emperor himself, Slayers_Boxer. MC took down Boxer convincingly in a straight 2 games. MC, then bested North American's very own Select. The match series between MC and Sen in the semifinals were crazy and insanely epic. Sen manage to force MC into the final game 5 with some risky plays involving getting the gold expansion incredibly fast. Sen is actually so good that, MC gave him a 'Thumbs Up' after the match where we don't see very often MC doing this or probably Never will.

MC fought extremely hard against TSL_Puma during the grand finals. Having down 1-3 in a best of 7 series, MC proceeded to win the next 2 games bringing into the final game 7. MC dealt with Puma's drop like a boss. This legendary Protoss President managed to catch every drop in game 5 and 6. Finally, in game 7, MC took a very very huge risk of 4 Gating Puma on Crevasse. Puma managed to scout MC's 4 gate and dealt with it property by pulling a lot of SCVs taking care of the two inbase Pylons. Having down in economy from his failed 4 Gate, MC built an expansion of his own and getting Dark Templars. MC took down all of Puma's army with incredible Force Fields when Puma was moving out of his base. This eventually even up the score. How many times do we see a player coming back from a failed 4 Gate. MC then made another fail push at the Terrans front with Chargelots. This eventually cost MC the game as MC failed to deal with the Terran push, failing to warp in enough units defending his second expansion.

Congratulations to TSL_Puma and oGsMC at NASL Season 1 Finals.
