This is a must know trick for every Starcraft 2 online game players out there. It doesn't matter your a Zerg, Protoss or Terran this trick will definitely be useful for everyone of you either your just a new player or even an experienced on.
The funny thing is after thousands of game played, even I have oversee this online game trick. A lot of players doesn't know this haressing trick. The original post was started by Omni17. All credits goes to him.
The trick is by queuing multiple attack commands on the SCV that is building. To perform this trick
HOLD DOWN SHIFT BUTTON AND RIGHT CLICK THE SCV CONSTRUCTING A BUILDING MULTIPLE TIMES
Doing this trick will allow your scouting Probe/SCV/Drone to chase the building SCV around when they move to another location when constructing the building such as Supply Depot or Barracks. You can right click on the building SCV manually. However, at times, the SCV will be at an angle not easily targeted unless you use the INSERT or DELETE button to move the camera around. This often times will affect your game.
This tricks works perfectly for Protoss players and will often time kills the building SCV if it is not microed properly by the Terran opponent. The Terran is forced to pull one or two more SCVs to fend off this haress, thus affecting their income.
The Shift worker trick is very useful as well for the Zerg vs Terran online game matchup. Pulling a few Drones while performing this trick will allow you to kill the SCV constructing a Bunker at the front of your natural with ease from a 2 Barracks Marines rush.
Some people claims that this is suppose to be a bug. Their argument stats that SCVs that are constructing a structure should not be targeted so easily. Blizzard first created the SCV to move around in different spots while building to cater for this problem. However, with this SHIFT click trick you can often times slow down the Terran Barracks or even killing the SCV in some cases. Go ahead and try for yourself.

ReplyDeleteI heard about this tip in a cast recently but I cant remember exactly which. It sure makes delaying Terrans wall easier! I love the Shift key btw :D I even dedicated an article entirely to it.
