How to Improve in Starcraft 2 - Part 7 - Warming Up Your Fingers

Part seven of my 'How to Improve in Starcraft 2' series. Today I am writing on the importance of warming up your fingers before you play your first Starcraft 2 match of the day. Ever, realize why professional gamers always shake and stretch their fingers before their important tournament match? Wonder why most players including me, lose our first match of the day if we search for a game right away when we enter the Battle.net screen?

The answer is very obvious here. You fingers are not fully warmed up. This causes the lack and sloppy micros from your play which in turn causes you to lose. We always need to get our blood circulation flowing through our body before we start any form of sport activities. Starcraft 2 is not any different from any other form of sports. Warming up your fingers is very critical in determining your games. You can get wins sometimes without a warming session but this is a risky bet. Why would you take such risk in your games and causes you to play at a disadvantage?

A very simple way to warm up your fingers before you start your first match will be just stretching and shaking your fingers. This get the blood in your hand and finger to flow perfectly which in turn leads to better micro. Another simple method that I that I use every time before searching for my first game of the day is hosting and playing a 'Custom Game' against a computer. Any computer difficulty will do in this case. The main point is to warm up your fingers. You are always welcome to begin your session by playing a few team games with your friends. We care less about team games generally.

Thus, I hope you guys do take into consideration this Starcraft 2 tips and strategy. Do warm up before playing your first game and watch for yourself the results.
