For those of you who are not familiar with GSTL, this Starcraft 2 tournament is basically the same as GSL except for teams by GOMTV. GSTL is held in Korea after every GSL season. Top 8 teams from Korea such as oGs, IM, ST, Prime, fOu, Zenex, TSL and Slayers will be battling each other in a best of 7 match. A member is sent out from each team for the first match. The losers team will then send out another player. The first team to collect 4 wins out of 7 will move on to the next round, while the loser team is knocked out form the tournament. The total prize pool is approximately 15,000,000 won ($13,347 USD).
The previous season for GSTL 4 was won by Clan IM. The finals was between two of the best clans in Korea; clan IM(Incredible Miracle) and clan ST (StarTale). Both teams has incredible player lineups such as IMNestea and IMMvp for clan IM while ST.Ace, ST.Squirtle and ST.July for clan StarTale. The previous GSTL 4 finals was an epic combat between these two top teams where it was decided during the last and final map 7. In the end IMNestea being a previous GSL 2 champion showed what he was capable of winning the important match thus claiming the title for his team.
